A Trauma System for KZN. Local Development for Local Need

The proposed projects will be directed to an assessment of the current trauma care process in the KZN-DOH; an assessment of the current facilities, infrastructure and protocols; an analysis of the current trauma Burden of Disease and finally the proposal of a Trauma Care System for KZN that is relevant to the local needs, geography and resource distribution. The final phase would be to pilot the system and implement it in DOH-KZN if successful
