INFLUENTIAL DISORDERS OF THE CAPACITY AND REGULATION OF URBAN RAILWAYS

1982
The paper gives a critical survey of known methods of determining elements disturbing the capacity (critical section) of an urban railway line. It presents a model based on the theory of public transport services, which gives more reliable results, but does not involve the resulting performance of disturbances caused by stochastic factors. The model presented refers to trains passing through the disturbance at a signalized station. The paper suggests basic methods for the stochastic modelling of influential factors on the capacity and regulation of urban railway including the influence of stochastic factors. (TRRL)
