Mobile App Development based on HyWAI Framework

Recently, due to the wide spread of smartphones, development on mobile environment has been rapidly advanced, making world to focus on it as an attractive, promising market. As it arose as a new, distinct area in very recent years, various mobile-platform development companies are striving to achieve the initiative in this market and lots of platforms created due to this competition caused inconsistency between mobile platforms. As a solution, therefore, hybrid web application framework has been researched these days. Existing methods of developing mobile applications were native application development and web application development, which have limitations on platform compatibility, use of device resources, respectively. Hybrid framework, however, solved these issues simultaneously and also had good flexibility called 'One Source Multi Use', gathering attentions on its development. In this paper, we will look into the details of hybrid web application framework, compare it with other frameworks to see its distinct features, and apply HyWAI (Hybrid Web Application Interface), which was designed and made by ETRI to real application development to figure out its pros and cons, and its direction for advance.
