Failure Analysis of Water wall Tubes of Boiler No.7

Failures were reported in the waterwall tubes of boiler no.7 of BPSCL, Bokaro. Systematic investigation carried out on the failed and un-failed tubes revealed that corrosion on the waterside of the tubes is the main reason for the failure.
