The invention discloses functional composite filler modified polypropylene, and a preparation method thereof. The functional composite filler modified polypropylene comprises the following components in parts by weight: 60-80 parts of polypropylene, 15-35 parts of composite filler, 5-10 parts of a flexibilizer, 3-7 parts of a compatilizer, and 0.5-2 parts of a composite coupler, wherein the composite filler consists of laminal filler, fiber filler and spherical filler in weight proportion of 1:1:2. The components of the functional composite filler modified polypropylene have good compatibility and excellent mechanical property, the low temperature performance and toughness of materials are improved, and various requirements of engineering for cable pipes can be met.
