Rescue Balloon Reposition of the Protruding Coil Loops during Endovascular Treatment of An Anterior Communicating Artery Aneurysm: A Case Report

2006
aneurysm is one of the most feared complications of endovascular treatment with detachable coils (1). When it causes thrombus formation and/or parent artery steno-occlusion subsequently, the result of treatment can be disastrous. In this case report, we describe an our experience of rescue balloon reposition method for the complicated coil protrusion during endovascular embolization of an anterior communicating artery (ACoA) aneurysm.
