Microsite model of energy accumulation in irradiated solid state dosemeters

A microsite model of energy accumulation in solid state detectors for interpreting the TL response of ionising radiation, phosphor structure and radiation sensitive centres (RSC) is presented. The model is based on three stochastic processes: energy transfer in single events, the RSC distribution and the RSC energy accumulation. Two types of RSC are under consideration, non-interacting and interacting RSC, connected with concentration quenching. The dependence of the TLD response of BaSO 4 :Eu to 239 Pu alpha and 137 Cs gamma radiation on concentration and properties of the Eu impurity within the framework of the model is considered
