Sexualidade (s) e Infância (s): Em defesa de uma educação sexual emancipadora

2017
The present work of course completion aims to discuss sexuality in childhood, problematizing the disregard of sexuality when related to childhood, proposing that the school should take a stand on the issue and promote a sexual education that embraces the demands of children and expose representations of power in the field of sexuality, in order to overcome them. For this, a historical and social analysis of sexuality in society is carried out, pointing to the intentions of the capital behind the constructed hierarchies regarding gender and sexuality. Through Arries (1981) and Freud (1996), a discussion is made on the construction of what we now understand as children and childhood, arguing that such constructions are aimed at favoring political interests to maintain hegemony. As a solution to overcome these inequalities, an emancipatory sexual education is proposed so that, from childhood, individuals can assume a class consciousness and fight for the overcoming of oppressions that manifest in bodies, in gender and in desires, resulting from a standardization which favors the dominant ideology.
