Description of reported outbreaks of communicable diseases in day-care centers in New York State: 1987 to 1991

Although preliminary data suggest that some unvaccinated children can be reached through licensed family day-care home providers, attaining age-appropriate vaccination coverage of these children will depend on the ability of providers to interpret records correctly. The baseline knowledge of providers may be insufficient to accomplish this without educational programs.
