Supporting Social Work Students’ Readiness for Practicum Using Role Plays

Students frequently express concerns about practicum readiness. Students were engaged in a role play activity prior to practicum designed to reduce pre-placement anxiety and increase preparedness. Results of an evaluation of the role plays along with reflections on the benefits and challenges of using role plays will be presented.
