THE ANATOMY EDUCATION IN THE FACULTIES OF VETERINARY IN TURKEY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMÍC

19.12.2020 tarihi itibariyle COVID-19 son bir yilda yaklasik 74 milyona yakin enfekte kisi ve 1.669.000 'den fazla olum ile varliǧini tum dunyada etkisini gostermektedir. 20 Aralik 2020 tarihli T.C. Saǧlik Bakanliǧi'nin(TC. SB) resmi aciklamasina gore toplam 2.024.601 vaka sayisi ve hastanelerdeki doluluk oraninin %73.1 olduǧu bildirilmektedir(TC.SB, 2020). Tum dunyada olduǧu gibi Turkiye'de de COVID-19 tum eǧitim surecini etkilemis ve uzaktan eǧitim baslatilmistir. COVID-19 nedeniyle 2020 Mart-Haziran doneminden itibaren Veteriner Fakultesi olarak uzaktan eǧitim yapildi. Akademik ve idari personelin bulunduǧu kurumun giris cikislari kisitlandi. Uzaktan eǧitimde ders notlari pdf, docx veya slide olarak sisteme yuklendi. Sinavlar ev odevi veya coktan secmeli sinav olarak yapildi. Yaz aylarinda tarihler bilinmemekle birlikte yapilamayan laboratuvar uygulamalarinin tamamlanmasi kararlastirildi. Ancak salginin artmasi nedeniyle yapilmadi. Uzaktan eǧitim de Eylul - Aralik 2020 doneminde de oǧrenci olmaksizin devam etti. Genel anatomi, histoloji, embriyoloji hekimlik eǧitiminin temelidir: hayvan-insan vucudunun yapisini ve islevini anlamadan tip pratiǧini oǧrenmek mumkun deǧildir. Anatomik eǧitim, sonraki tum klinik uygulamalarin uzerine insa edeceǧi saǧlam temeli saǧlar. Her hastalik sureci ve her patolojik durum aslinda anatominin parcasidir. Bu nedenle anatomi eǧitimi onemlidir.Alternate abstract:As of December 19, 2020, COVID-19 had affected the world with about 74 million infected people and more than 1,669,000 deaths in the last year. According to the official declaration of the Turkish Ministry of Health, dated December 20, 2020, there were 2,024,601 cases and the occupancy rate in hospitals was 73.1%(TC.SB, 2020). Likewise the case all over the world, COVID-19 has affected the entire education process in Turkey too and distance education was launched. Due to COVID-19, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has also been providing distance education since March 2020. The entrance and exit to the institution where academic and administrative staff work have been restricted. Lecture notes were uploaded to the system in Pdf, Docx, or Slide format for distance education. Exam requirements were started to be fulfilled by homework or multiple-choice test. It was decided to complete the laboratory practice courses that could not be held in the summer (although the dates were unknown). However, these courses were not held because the epidemic was on the rise. Distance education continued between September and December 2020. General anatomy, histology, and embryology are the basis of medical education, and it is not possible to learn the practice of medicine without understanding the structure and function of the animal/human body. Anatomical education provides a solid basis on which all subsequent clinical practices will be built. Every disease process and every pathological condition are a part of the anatomy. Therefore, anatomy education is important.
