Functional rehabilitation - what's in a name?

: In recent years there has been a tendency for physiotherapists and other health care providers to utilise specific terminology to define a specific skill or procedure and provide a "packaged" intervention program. Functional rehabilitation is one of the more recent packages. How this terminology is used and by whom may influence the physiotherapist's role in the provision of health care in the rehabilitation setting.
