The Minben Thought of the Early Reformer——the Combining and Conflicting of Chinese Culture and Western Culture

This text firstly discusses the Minben theory of the early reformer :In order to communicate the public feelings,they used the west parliamentarism,election and daily as the approach by which the people were concerned with the politics.The new Minben theory makes up the traditional Minben theory'dificiencies in building system,and actually helps the spred of democracy.But the new Minben theory can't break through the limit of the fabric of the traditional Minben theory,and takes on conservative characteristic.Its constituting proceeds from the need of our national renewal and resisting foreign aggression.Its understanding about the west thought takes on utilitaran characteristic.The reasoning that Minjben theory resembles the west democracy also has shortcoming and benefit,and then limits the development of Minben theory and the spred of democracy.
