Resilience for the first epsiode psychosis is a dynamic ability to
survive and getting stronger to rise or achieve recovery from
psychotic disorders by adapting positively and effectively to face
the suppress and traumatic situations or events or threatening
risk and worsen the recovery from psychotic disorders. The first
episode psychosis needs to improve their resilience for the
better prognosis. The purpose of this research was to describe
the dynamics of resilience in four people with first episode
psychosis by using the case study method. The data obtained
from interviews, observations, information from the medical
records of patients, and used graphical DAP tests (Draw A
Person), BAUM test, HTP (House-Tree-Person) and SSCT
(Sacks Sentence Completion Test). The conclusion of the
discussion of the results is that the dynamics of resilience first

changing, relationships and support from others, a goal or
purpose in life. The first episode psychosis show increased
resilience due among others to support positive social and they
are began receiving negative events experienced, and realizing
the ideals and strive to realize the purpose of life. Patients with
psychosis showed a better prognosis if they are more resilient
and increased GAF score (Global Assessment of Functioning),
whereas patients who are less resilient improved less prognosis
this can be seen from the recent diagnosis based on the
