Clinical value of color Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis of orbital tumors

Objective To discuss the value of color Dopppler ultrasonography in diagnosis of orbital tumor.Methods There 34 cases with orbital tumor were examined by color Doppler ultrasound.Results Among 34 cases of orbital tumor,29 cases were with benign tumor,5 cases of malignant tumor,8 cases of hemangioma,5 cases of dermoid,5 cases of inflammatory pseudotumor,3 cases of liparomphalus,3 cases of haematoma,3 cases of mixed tumor of lacrimal gland,2 cases of optic nerve glioma,2 cases of cancerometastasis,2 cases of Adenocarcinoma,1 cases of malignant lymphoma.The detection rate was 100% in 34 cases with orbital tumor,the coincidence of benign or malignant was 88%,the coincidence between ultrasonography and pathology was 64.7%.Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasonography is an effective method for diagnosis of orbital tumor.
