CuBr Catalyzed C—N Cross Coupling Reaction of Purines and Diaryliodonium Salts to 9‐Arylpurines.

N-Arylation of purines proceeds smoothly with diaryliodonium halides in the presence of CuBr catalyst to give 9-arylpurines (III) and (V) in moderate to excellent yields in short reaction times (2.5 h).
