MHD thermal boundary layer with an exponentially increasing pressure gradient

2006
The development of a two-dimensional laminar boundary layer flow of an electrically conducting incompressible fluid is studied in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field. The external velocity is assumed to be of the form U(x) = u o (1 - ∈e ξ ); ξ = x/L, 0 < ∈ « 1. The energy equation has been numerically solved by the series method for cooling and adiabatic cases taking arbitrary values of the principle function β, the magnetic interaction parameter mξ and the Prandtl number Pr. The expression for dimensionless distribution is obtained.
