Interaction of Two Novel Schiff Base with DNA by Spectroscopy

The modes of the interaction of two novel Schiff base for BCSC and BCST with CT-DNA were studied by UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrometry.Experimental data indicated that the binding of the two compounds with CT-DNA would cause hypochromic effect in UV-Vis spectra,and the fluorescence intensity of compounds decreased with the addition of CT-DNA;meanwhile the quenching for the compounds with CT-DNA by KI were also studied.The results showed that the interactive model between the compounds and CT-DNA was an intercalative one.
