Moderating role of restaurant type between strategy and financial performance

The purpose of this research is to examine the moderation effect of restaurant type with the association between franchising and restaurant value. This study also examined the moderating effect of restaurant type on the relation between the internationalization and financial performance. This research employed publicly traded restaurant firms to collect the information. The results indicated that the limited-service restaurant type negatively moderates the relation between franchising and financial performance of restaurant firms. The results presented that the type of restaurant (limited-service restaurant) positively moderates the association between financial performance and degree of internationalization within restaurant companies.
