Institute in parallel computing: Final report

This report describes the two-week institute in parallel computing held at Argonne National Laboratory on September 6--16, 1988. The institute was jointly supported by the National Science Foundation and the Basic Energy Sciences Program within the Department of Energy. It was deemed a great success by the participants and illustrates the benefits that can accrue to the scientific community by this type of interagency cooperation.
