Magneto-Optical Properties of a Magnetic Fluid in the THz Frequency Range

This work is of an experimental nature in the search of a perspective material for full or partial blocking of frequencies (shutter) in the THz region. The object of this study is a magnetic fluid based on carbonyl iron. The absorption spectra of a magnetic fluid are to obtain under the action of an applied magnetic field. The experimental magnetic fluid shows good absorption at frequencies up to 1.2 THz.
