Reibwertuntersuchungen an Motorenölen im Mikrotribometer

The development of a screening test-method was aim of this internal research project at the Institute for Tribology of the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim. With this new test method it is possible to characterise the fuel-economy-quality of motor oil with short time tests at the Universal Micro-Tribometer. Several test runs under mixed friction an hydrodynamic conditions show significant differences between commercial available motor oils.
