Typing of 71 biallelic markers on Y chromosome in Xinjiang Han population of China

Abstract 71 Y chromosome-specific biallelic markers that are characteristic of major Asian haplogroups and subhaplogroups were selected. Genomic DNA was extracted from saliva samples of 202 unrelated Chinese Han male individuals in Xinjiang. Typing of 71 biallelic markers was performed using the MassARRAY MALDI-TOF MS platform (Sequenom Inc.). Allelic frequencies, gene diversities (GD) for each locus were then determined.
