Touchpad with force sensors and Aktuatorrückmeldung

2010
Electronic devices can use the touchpad, which have touch sensor panels, force sensors and actuators to provide tactile feedback. A touchpad can be mounted in a computer case. The touch pad may have a rectangular, flat touch pad member having a covering ink layer of glass and including a capacitive touch sensor panel. Force sensors may be mounted at each of four corners of the rectangular planar portion touchpad. The force sensors may be used to measure how much force is applied to the surface of the planar pad portion by a user. Processed force sensor signals the presence of switch activity as Drucken- and release events to see. In response to detected activity or other activity switch in the device actuator control signals can be generated for controlling the actuator. The user can enter settings to customize the signal processing and tactile feedback parameters.
