LA ADAPTABILIDAD COMO VARIABLE DE LA CALIDAD DE LA VIVIENDA

2013
Two associated indicators are used to characterize the homelessness in Argentina: "housing quality" and "quality of occupancy". However, the latter, refers only to the "number of people and their relationship with the living area and the exclusive use of the bathroom". Should the flexibility offered by its spatial organization to adapt to various situations of occupation be measured as an occupancy quality variable of housing? The aim of this work is to define adaptability as a new parameter for the current housing quality. The habitability of housing should be the primary factor in determining the housing quality assessment, while it is understood that this depends on the correct interaction between physical support and social construction. Among these components, the "adaptability" appears to be a tool to ensure that the physical and social processes will accompany the lnhabiting of the users.
