Langmuir-Blodgett deposited Na3V2(PO4)3-MnO2 nanocomposite thin film electrodes for hybrid energy storage application

2021
Abstract This article deals with the Langmuir-Blodgett deposition of NASICON type Na3V2(PO4)3 (NVP) -MnO2 nanocomposite thin-film for the hybrid energy storage application. The nanocomposite electrode with various NVP: MnO2 ratio was developed and their physiochemical properties were examined with advanced characterisation techniques. The aqueous half-cell was made using the developed nanocomposite electrodes, to study their energy storing behaviour by CV and GCD analysis. In comparison, the 3:1 ratio of NVP-MnO2 (NM3) exhibits a higher specific capacity with good cyclic stability and rate capability. The higher MnO2 concentration leads to the dominance of pseudo capacitance behaviour over the battery like reaction, resulted in the variation of energy density and power density between 39 and 18 Wh/Kg and 3479–4450 W/Kg.
