BTB Graft Technique: ACL Reconstruction Using the Patellar Tendon

The BTB graft harvesting technique used in ACL reconstruction is an old but effective procedure. Our team uses it during redos and rarely as a first intention option. It has proven its efficiency over the years, but it requires caution while retrieving the graft in order not to cause any complications like patellar fracture, graft entrapment, and so on. We begin by testing the skin elasticity to avoid big incisions, then dissecting the patellar pretendinous velum. Tricks and tips are applied in this procedure to provide comfortability and assurance for the surgeon.
