El estudio de las bibliotecas particulares: análisis de la colección Pereyra Iraola

The study of personal libraries has not been of great interest in library science field, so that there are no theoretical background on which founded. Not so with the literary background, who have devoted much of its production to the analysis of these collections. One of the reasons that justified its approach, as later extended, is that often become part of public libraries or institutions which are not directly their initiators. This paper will analyze the collection formed by the architect Fernando Pereyra Iraola, which was acquired by the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design at the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, which is the ancient background of the Documentation Center of that institution called Collection Pereyra Iraola. Some sources and study variables are defined, with the aim of becoming the starting point for this type of research that can broaden, deepen and improve this proposal.
