Atuação do Bibliotecário Clínico em tempos de pandemia da COVID-19

The aim of this study is to report the performance of the clinical librarian in the medical library and in the assessment of health technology during the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology was based on a report experienced by the clinical librarians in the search for information about COVID-19 in order to assist the health team in decision-making skills when facing the pandemic. The study was supported by bibliographic and documented research. The results describe the activities performed by clinical librarians in the library located in a hospital serving in the assessment of the health technology service of the health care provider. The research period was between March and June 2020, during the social isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, and after social isolation, which happened until December 2020. The main activities included conducting bibliographic surveys, mapping sources of information about COVID-19, acquiring a new software that enable online meetings, training the medical team on data base and sources of health information. As a final consideration, it is emphasized that practices by medical libraries and specialized health information services were essential to support the health team face the pandemic. The assessment of health technology is a necessary tool to incorporate medication in coping with COVID-19. Information skills of Librarians are a differential for health institutions in the research, dissemination and management of knowledge about COVID-19.
