Use of matrine in anti- influenza virus drug preparation

The present invention discloses a new use of matrine. Experiments of the present invention confirm that the matrine has relatively good inhibitory effect on avian influenza virus. Anti-avian influenza virus drugs are prepared by using the compound and salts thereof as active ingredients. The antiviral drugs can be used for clinical prevention and treatment of diseases caused by the avian influenza virus, having major significance for the livestock breeding industry and public health. In addition, China is rich in herbal resources, so industrial production of the drug is feasible. According to the invention, matrine and matrine hydrochloride have great practical significance and broad application prospects in the medical and bio-pharmaceutical fields, especially in the anti-avian influenza virus drug preparation field.
