Methods for Studying Higher Excited States in Molecules and Molecular Crystals by Means of Synchrotron Radiation

Progress in spectroscopy, historically, has been intimately linked to the availability of radiation sources. Synchrotron Radiation (SR) sources have only recently been developed for broad application and, at present, there is a rapidly expanding worldwide effort in the use of these sources [1–4].
