Experimental Investigation of Parametric Mode and Wavelength Conversion in a 4.7 km Few-Mode Fiber

We demonstrate the potential of few-mode-fibers for all-optical signal processing by converting and receiving three wavelength-multiplexed 30-GBaud QPSK channels from 1533 nm wavelength launched into the LP11a mode to approximately 1549 nm received in the LP01 mode of a 4.7 km FMF.
