Control and supply of hydraulic fluid in a vehicle braking system

2014
It is provided in a hybrid vehicle, a brake system. The brake system includes a master brake cylinder having a first outlet, a second outlet and placed in the master brake cylinder and is displaceable in response to a brake pedal displacement from a proximal end to a distal end of a piston. A brake fluid reservoir supplies the master cylinder with hydraulic fluid. A first fluid circuit connecting the first outlet of the master cylinder to the brake fluid reservoir. A second fluid circuit connects the second outlet of the master cylinder to the wheel brakes and supplies the wheel brakes in response to brake pedal adjustment with hydraulic fluid from the master cylinder. The first outlet of the master cylinder is disposed between the second outlet and the proximal end of the master cylinder, so that an initial brake pedal displacement brake fluid transported from the master cylinder to the fluid reservoir to prevent hydraulic braking during regeneration.
