A Hybrid Power TransferAllocation Approach forDeregulated Power Systems

Power transfer allocation isone ofthemajorissues inderegulated power industry. Thispaper presents a hybrid technique forpower transfer allocation. Itisbasedon combining theexisting power flowtracing methodsthatdetermines the power sharefromgenerators tolineflowsand loads. The advantages oftheproposed methodaredemonstrated bythetests conducted on theIEEE30-bus systemandalso on a practical 25- busequivalent power systemofsouthMalaysia. Theproposed methodprovides better reliability andminimizes thelimitations ofconventional power flowtracing methods.
