Serebral Palsili Bir Bireyde İnterdisipliner Habilitasyon Yaklaşımı: Olgu Sunumu-Çuha Modeli

Objectives: In this study, a child with a diagnosis of quadriparetic cerebral palsy (CP) was assessed by an interdisciplinary team, within the framework of Hacettepe University Child Habilitation Application and Research Center (CUHA). A detailed treatment plan was developed for the re/habilitation process. Materials and Methods: The evaluation of the child was completed via standardized and non-standardized methods in five different areas (physiotherapy and rehabilitation, audiology, ergotherapy, child development and speech therapy). Based on the results, an evidence based treatment plan was designed. Results: The results show that a child with a diagnosis of quadriparetic CP needs intervention in many areas and not only the assesment but also the intervention procedure should be carried out by an interdisciplinary team. Conclusion: This study is very important that it emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary work of healthcare professionals in cases of cerebral palsy.
