Design of RF Stealth Radar Signal Based on Pseudo-Random Code and OFDM Technique

2013
Aircraft should have RF stealth performance which can reduce the detection range and identification effect of passive detection system aiming to the aircraft,so that the aircraft and airborne electronic equipment can decease the probability of being intercepted or even destroyed. The design principle of RF stealth signal of the airborne radar is presented.According to this principle, the radar signal based on the pseudo-random code modulation and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)technique is designed and studied. The radar signal has a lower peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR),and the RF stealth performance of the radar signal is verified to be better than the common linear frequency modulated radar signal through simulation experiment based on the passive detection system adopting the digital channelized receiver.
