CMOS Differential Amplifier as a Physically Unclonable Function

This paper presents a Differential Amplifier architecture realizing a Physical Unclonable Function. The differential structure has been chosen to improve robustness of the PUF. The proposed circuit achieves temperature-dependent reliability equal to 94.49% and voltage supply-dependent reliability as high as 99.33%. The PUF uniqueness is 49.24% with a standard deviation equal to 0.0442.
