Characterization and Catalytic Properties of Platinum-, Palladium-, and Rhodium-Polyamide Catalysts

1981
The activities and selectivities of platinum-, palladium-and rhodium-polyamide catalysts were comparatively studied in the reaction of partial hydrogenation of benzene. On the basis of results obtained by various techniques, the unusual selectivity characteristics of these catalysts is attributed to an electron transfer from the polyamide towards the metals.
