Rubik’s Cube-Like Multifunctional Sensing Platform

A Rubiks cube-like reconfiguration sensing platform for pollutant detection is proposed in this paper. Composed of interlocking microfluidic, electrochemical and colorimetric blocks, the cube-like device enables rapid reconfiguration of microfluidics having customizable sensing functions. Various kinds of analytes are tested using different configurations of the cube. Due to its ease-of-use and capability to rapidly change functions, the proposed cube is used to test different kinds of water pollutants through a simple reconfiguration process.
