The curative effect of hyaluronic acid gel combined with hydrocortisone cream in the treatment of infants’ xerotic eczema
2018
Objective
To analyze the curative effect of hyaluronic acid gel combined with hydrocortisone cream in the treatment of infants’ xerotic eczema.
Methods
Clinical data of infants with xerotic eczema who received treatment in our hospital from August 2015 to August 2017 were analyzed, including 49 cases in the observation group and 53 cases in the control group. The patients in the observation group were treated by hyaluronic acid gel combined with hydrocortisone cream, the patients in the control group were treated by hydrocortisone cream. After 21 days, the curative effect were compared between the two groups, skin moisture in the skin lesions was observed during the treatment, the cumulative recurrence rate was followed up 6 months after the treatment.
Results
The treatment effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (79.59% vs.58.49%), with statistically significant difference (χ2=5.332,P=0.021). The skin moisture in the skin lesions in the observation group at 7, 14, 21 days after the treatment were significantly higher than those in the control group (t=2.040,P=0.044;t=3.990,P<0.01;t=6.755,P<0.01). The cumulative recurrence rate in the observation group 6 months after the treatment was lower than that in the control group [10.85% (14/129) vs.21.52% (17/79)], with statistically significant difference (Log-rankχ2=4.439,P=0.035).
Conclusion
Hyaluronic acid gel combined with hydrocortisone cream showed an ideal curative effect in the treatment of infants’ xerotic eczema.
