Nutritional support via enteral tube feeding is intended to ensure the provision of optimal nutrition when combined with early dialysis, and is now accepted as an integral part of care for many infants and children with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) to promote growth, cognitive development, metabolic stability and to address a variety of other pertinent patient care issues (Table 1)1-5.
