Bok, Woolley and Australian Astronomy.

1992
For the large part of a crowded life, Bart Bok was one of the best-known astronomers of his time. Many of the principal honours of the profession came his way. Among them he was awarded the Bruce Medal of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, he delivered the Henry Norris Russell Lecture to the American Astronomical Society, he served terms as President of that Society and as Vice-president of the International Astronomical Union; he was elected to the US National Academy of Sciences, an Associate of the Royal Astronomical Society, and a Corresponding Member of our own Academy.
