Current Research and Development Trends of End Mill Grinding Simulation Technology

End mill grinding simulation technology plays a key role in the efficiency manufacture of end mill and significantly influence the production costs.End mill grinding simulation technology is based on the practical grinding process and computer simulation technology,which aimed to display the end mill process model in real time and create the CNC code automatically.It consists of two contents:mathematical modeling and software implementation.According to the research status,new theory and achievement of grind wheel modeling,helical groove grinding,cutting edge grinding,teeth grinding and grinding software are analyzed.Future research direction of the end mill grinding simulation technology is pointed out that refining on grinding model,integration of grinding,parametric design and cutting simulation software,integration of grinding software and tool grinder.
