According to one embodiment of the present invention, a touch screen device for enabling moving or copying of an entity on the basis of a touch input, and an operating method thereof can provide move or copy functions for entities included in an electronic document by merely allowing a user to apply a simple touch input onto a touch screen, thereby providing user convenience to a user having an intention to write or edit an electronic document on a touch screen device.
