Advantages of heat supply to consumers from electric boiler houses fed from hydroelectric stations

1993
1. With a high proportion of hydroelectric stations in the power system of a region, it is expedient to supply heat to consumers from electric boiler houses, since the cost of electric energy produced at HESs is 4–6 times less than the cost of electric energy produced at TPSs. 2. In the case of replacing boiler houses operating on fossil fuel by electric boiler houses, their construction will be paid back in 1–2 operating seasons, expensive fuel will be saved, the cost of heat energy will decrease, emission of stack gases into the atmosphere will cease, and the ecological conditions will improve.
