Overhead Power Line with Backup Split-Phase

The article describes the characteristics of traditional and unconventional types of AC power transmission, such as overhead lines with a backup phase, six-phase power lines and controlled power lines FACTS. The analysis of ways to improve the efficiency and operation of overhead power lines using backup phases is given. The introduction of a circuit design solution for a double-circuit overhead power line to replace the traditional double-circuit power line with a single-circuit with a backup phase is proposed. Circuit-technical solution is the splitting of the backup phase into three components of the conductor, which, while providing this mode of operation, are connected to the phases of the working circuit of the overhead power line in parallel, while ensuring the symmetry of the resistance and voltage across the phases. The results of the calculation of the bandwidth of the lines with split reserve phase are given. The ways of increasing the natural power of the power transmission line are considered. A comparative analysis of the transmission capacity of overhead power lines with a backup split-phase with the lines in the traditional performance.
