Preparation and magnetic properties of ultra-fine cobalt ferrites

Abstract The influence of the preparation conditions on the particle size of ultra-fine cobalt ferrites is investigated. Particles were obtained in the size range 60–200 A. The magnetic properties and the Mossbauer data are in accordance with the X-ray characterization of the particle sizes. The results for the pure superparamagnetic sample are discussed in detail.
