Abdominoplasty without plication of the aponeurosis

A series of 35 abdominoplasties without any musculoaponeurotic plication is presented. The guidelines for patient selection and the results are described, emphasizing the importance in the evaluation of the alterations of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and musculoaponeurotic system of the anterior abdominal wall.
