Objective To examine the requirement of the demand of the informed consent in cancer patients and seek the pertinent nursing care. Methods To investigate 794 patients with cancer by questionnaire. Results Most cancer patients need informed consent, the demand of the informed consent was significantly different among the patients with different ages, different cultures, and different occupations. Conclusions Healthy care workers should esteem the demand of the informed consent in cancer patients, and then select the appropriate method to inform each patient according to his own condition on purpose to encourage his surviving volition.
