The liquid crystal display device includes, in each pixel of a display drive circuit: a gate bus line (12n); a data bus line (14); a storage capacity bus line (18); a first transistor (21) and a second transistor (22) connected to the same gate bus line (12n) and the data bus line (14); a liquid crystal capacity (31) of a first subpixel; a liquid crystal capacity (33) of a second subpixel; and a third transistor (23) connected to the liquid crystal capacity (33) of the second subpixel. A gate electrode of the third transistor (23) is connected to a gate bus line (n+2) in a pixel located on a scan line at least two lines ahead.
